Level 1 or Level 2? Why not Both?

Level 1 charging is done at 120VAC while Level 2 is done at 240VAC. When given the choice most people go for a Level 2 EVSE at home due to the charging speed, but what if you could have both options in a single EVSE? OpenVolt_1 can do Level 1 and Level 2 charging. It's smart microcontroller will automatically detect if it's plugged in to a 120VAC or 240VAC outlet and set the current limit accordingly. OpenVolt _1 ships with a NEMA 6-50 plug which is meant for Level 2 charging but can be easily swapped for a standard 120V plug or can be used with an adapter. It's perfect for those who currently do not have a level 2 installation at home but are planning to get one in the future or for those who might move locations and require that flexibility.
